Use of Resources
All materials provided by Next Step Online Academy, including but not limited to past papers, and prep content, are intended solely for personal educational use. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. We reserve the right to update and modify our policies as necessary. Continuous access to our platform requires compliance with these terms and ensuring that you use our resources responsibly. Student Privacy and Data
Next Step Online Academy is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information solely for enrollment and to enhance your educational experience. Our data protection policy ensures that your information is kept confidential and secure. By engaging with our services, you consent to our data collection practices as outlined in our full privacy policy.
General
1.1 All Course fees must be paid in full before Course commencement date or withing the agreed dates.
1.2 The content of our preparation course is based on the types of tests that have appeared in previous years. Our courses aim to give candidates the very best tuition with the information that is available at the time of the preparation course but obviously we can take no responsibility for any future changes to the exam or changes that are made to any other entrance exams we provide preparation courses for. In the unlikely event of any changes to an exam we will look after our customers by doing our best to provide extra relevant study material.
1.3 Access to online courses varies based on the specific course type. Courses may have a fixed subscription duration (for example, 5 months) or be campaign/exam specific. For campaign/exam-specific courses (such as HPAT preparation courses), access will generally be available for 5 weeks or until the associated campaign stage or exam date, whichever comes first.
The access period for each course is as stated in these Terms and Conditions and may also be displayed on our website. If there is any difference between the access period stated on our website and that set out in these Terms and Conditions, or if no duration is shown on the website, the duration stated in these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
1.4 Course promo / coupon codes and discounts cannot be used retrospectively or in conjunction with each other
1.5 Where a candidate chooses to pay for one of our preparation courses in instalments, access to the course will be given partially after installment is payment has been received. Should the candidate change their mind during this time and decided not to proceed with preparation, they will be entitled to a full refund of any payments made, minus our administrative fee of €25.
Booking Cancellation
2.1 Course fees are non-refundable except where a Course fails to run or where the correct cancellation notice has been given.
2.2 Course fees are not refundable after commencement of the Course except as outlined herein.
2.3 If you need to cancel your participation in a day course session, you are required to notify us prior to Course commencement date. Cancellation within 4 weeks or more prior to the commencement of the course will receive a full refund minus a €25 administration fee. Cancellation 2-4 weeks prior to the commencement of the course will receive a 50% refund. Cancellation 1-2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course will receive a 25% refund. No refund will be issued to cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the commencement of the course.
2.4 In the event of you, the candidate, wishing to switch your booking to an alternative date, every effort will be made on our behalf to accommodate your request. However, this will be subject to availability.
2.5 In the event that you do not attend a course you have booked and do not notify us in advance, you forfeit your fee and any opportunity to move your booking to a later date.
Course Cancellation
3.1 We reserve the right to cancel Courses in case of circumstances beyond our control (death, injury, etc.). Where a Course is cancelled prior to Course commencement date, Course fees paid will be refunded in full and/or every effort will be made to accommodate customers at a future date.
3.2 Cancellation and refund policy for courses: If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of your order and before starting the course (accessing the online materials), you are entitled to a full refund minus our €25 administrative fee. This fee reflects the processing costs incurred during the transaction. Cancellations and refunds in circumstances outside this and/or following the expiry of the 14-day cancellation period, are subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Cancellation policy. The cancellation period will expire 14 days after the date of the order confirmation. Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. If you access or start to use our services during the cancellation period (i.e. if you start the course during the 14-day cancellation period) and/or if you access the course materials via our virtual learning environment, no refund will be payable.
3.4 Accounts created for accessing our courses and services are strictly personal and non-transferable. Access to course materials is licensed exclusively to the original purchaser or the individual for whom the course was purchased. The resale or transfer of accounts via any platform is strictly prohibited. This ensures the integrity of the course content, protects user data, and maintains compliance with our licensing agreements.
Responsibility
4.1 We reserve the right to change, without notice, the content, date, time or any other detail of a Course as a result of any political event, natural disaster, weather or any other event outside of the control of Next Step Online Academy.
4.2 Purchasing our online preparation course entitles you to one user account. You are responsible for your personal account and are not entitled to share your account details. Your account will be blocked if the system detects logins from multiple IP addresses. This is a security feature to ensure that any individual’s account is not compromised and that our copyright material is not inappropriately shared with those who have not purchased a preparation course.
